Chuck VesselsMr. Vessels is a Mechanical Engineer and an MIT Sloan Fellow. Mr. Vessels is the Chief Executive Officer, President and Member of the Research and Development Staff of Gleason Research Associates. Mr. Vessels manages and performs tasks related to Systems Engineering and Management, Business Management, Business Development, Counterterrorism, Force Protection, Security Services, Special Operations, Crisis Management, Homeland Security, Security Management, Intelligence Operations, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Improvised Explosives Ordnance Disposal, Threat/Risk Assessment/Management, Weapons and Technology Systems Engineering, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems Engineering, Testing and Operations.

Mr. Vessels is an internationally recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in explosive effects and explosive ordnance disposal. He is also a trained Bomb Technician and explosive ordnance disposal specialist and is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of anti-Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT), anti-Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POL), and Flame and Incendiary weapons systems.

Prior to joining GRA, Mr. Vessels worked for the US Army as the Program Manager, Chief Engineer and Integrated Product/Process (IPT) Team Leader for multiple programs. He was Program Manager for a $20M, nine-month TOW Bunker Buster missile development program. Mr. Vessels was the Chief Engineer and IPT leader for the development of the warhead section of the Congressionally-mandated, Multipurpose Individual Munition (MPIM) program. He was also Program Manager for the Hellfire MODK fragmentation sleeve missile retrofit program in response to war-fighter needs in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and the Program Manager and Chief Technical Officer on several Special Access Programs.

Mr. Vessels is a graduate of Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. As a Sloan Fellow in the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) he received a Masters of Science in Management (MSM) / Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Mr. Vessels has worked concurrently in law enforcement since 1987 as a Deputy Sheriff, Narcotics Investigator (six undercover assignments), Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Operator, Sniper/Counter-Sniper, Explosive Entry Technician and since 1994, a Weapons and Defensive Tactics Instructor and Armorer.

Mr. Vessels has received numerous awards and citations for both his US Army and Law Enforcement endeavors. Mr. Vessels has over 1400 hours of special operations and explosives training both as an operator and as a developer.
